Matthew & Denitsa live in Ayr and chose the wonderful Eilean Donan Castle to celebrate their wedding with close family and friends. Matthew grew up in Scotland and Denitsa grew up in Bulgaria, but they decided to choose an iconic Highland venue for their ceremony and the reason they got in touch with me initially is because they were struggling to find a reception venue suitable to their requirements close to the castle. I introduced them to Kintail Lodge which they fell in love with and they had a majority of their guests accommodation there as well as their reception.
The first look on the bridge at Eilean Donan Castle was an emotional one and the couple chose to take a few minutes together before joining everyone inside for their ceremony.
My favourite part of their day was when Denitsa joined her mum and family for some traditional Bulgarian dancing and I also managed to keep a secret for the groom Matthew who surprised everyone with his rendition of The Killers ‘Human’ to kick off the evening celebrations – it was just so lovely to see them having the best time with their family and friends!
