Julian & Rachael travelled all the way from Spain with their nearest & dearest to have an intimate Highland wedding. They reached out to me a couple of months prior to their special day and they had already secured Eilean Donan Castle as their venue but they needed help with finding suppliers, accommodation and somewhere for their intimate dinner.
It was really important to them that they were staying in nice accommodation, which also allowed pets so that they could bring their dog Django and it was super important that they could choose a completely vegan menu including vegan wines and Champagne. Rachael and Julian run their own animal sanctuary in Spain so it was deeply important that their celebrations reflected their values.
I helped them put all the logistics in place for their day, I liaised with the vendors, confirmed a timeline and secured all the details for their ceremony & reception. Julian & Rachael chose Andrew Rae photography, which I was delighted about — I’ve had the pleasure of working with Andrew many times, and his combination of creativity, fun, and exceptional photography always brings something special to the day.
My favourite moments from their day were Rachael being piped across a misty Eilean Donan bridge, their first dance in the courtyard outside at Eilean Donan Castle! Confetti isn’t allowed on the castle premises so they chose to have bubbles on the bridge instead which was really effective!!
