Emily & Dylan travelled all the way from Iowa with their nearest & dearest to have an intimate Highland wedding. Emily reached out to me over a year prior to their special day and the brief I was given was “We would like everyone to stay together, with a relaxed vibe, nice food and a bar, a classic / old world looking cottage/estate that is close to a body of water and mountains for photos and an outdoor ceremony”.
With this brief I knew instantly Shieldaig Lodge ticked all the boxes and I helped them put all the logistics in place for their day, I liaised with the vendors, confirmed a timeline and secured all the details for their ceremony & reception. Dylan & Emily chose Andrew Rae photography, they fell in love with his work straight away and I can see why – his work is incredible! Thankfully they agreed to take some time out during cocktail hour with Andrew and Ross (Thistle Production) to go to nearby Loch Maree for a photoshoot – I think you’ll agree this was a great idea, the photos are stunning!
My favourite moments from their day were Emily’s first look with her dad, the ceremony on the lawn at Shieldaig Lodge with that amazing view! Confetti Canons as Dylan & Emily walked back up the aisle, the confetti stayed in the air for what felt like a long time!!
