Annie & Jacob’s Intimate Isle of Skye Destination Wedding

Who? : Annie & Jacob

What? : Intimate Isle of Skye Destination Wedding

Where? : House of Juniper, Broadford, Isle of Skye

When? : September 2025

Annie & Jacob travelled from North Carolina with their closest family and friends for an intimate celebration in the Scottish Highlands. It mattered deeply to them that everyone stayed together — a chance to truly connect, share the experience, and make every moment of their journey count.

For their reception, their vision was simple, beautiful, and heartfelt: one long table where they could linger over stories, laughter, and good food. The table was filled with generous shared plates — roast beef, honey-roast salmon, Isle of Skye lobster tortellini, salt-baked celeriac, Caesar salad, wild mushroom crostini, roasted root vegetables, and hearty potatoes — the kind of feast that brings people together.

Another priority for Annie & Jacob was capturing the rugged magic of Skye with their photographer, Andrew Rae. They wanted those iconic landscapes, and they wanted their guests to experience the island too. So after the ceremony, everyone climbed aboard a coach for a relaxed road trip around Skye, complete with delicious snacks and refreshments.

Some of my favourite moments…
How they embraced Skye’s wild, unapologetic weather — and how beautifully that came across in their photos.
The image Andrew captured of them, soaked through and grinning, sharing chips and cheese at the Sligachan Hotel is superb!
What was most special was seeing them gathered at the long table later that evening, surrounded by the people who meant the most to them, enjoying the sharing plates that perfectly matched the atmosphere they envisioned — it was everything they hoped for and more.
