Chris & Caitlin travelled all the way from Florida with close family to have an intimate wedding on the lawn at the Cuillin Hills Hotel in Portree on the Isle of Skye. The view from the lawn over Portree bay and the mountains in the background are absolutely breath taking, David from Capella Strings played the theme song to Jurassic Park on the violin as Caitlin walked down the aisle, which really created a wonderful atmosphere!
It was important to them to give their family a proper Highland experience, so they chose Flodigarry Hotel for their rehearsal meal the night before and had Highland dancers and Piper Ian Ruari Finlayson welcome them for the evening.
The day of the wedding the couple decided it would be a nice touch after the ceremony to take their family for a tour of Skye and stop for photographs at iconic spots such as ‘The Quiraing’, ‘Kilt Rock’ and ‘The old man of Storr’ – whilst they were on tour I worked with the team at Cuillin Hills to create the most romantic and intimate dinner space – I loved seeing their reaction when they returned for the evening!
Chris & Caitlin’s day was filled with love, emotion, fun adventures and unforgettable intimate moments.
